About The Position

Perform various cleaning duties in assigned areas of district buildings or schools in accordance with county health department standards and standards established by the Custodial Services Department. This position is at Wakefield Middle School in the 6th Avenue and 44th Street area, effective for the 2026–2027 school year. The position is 1.0 FTE, eight hours per day, on a 12-month work calendar.

Requirements

• At least one year of custodial experience.
• Speak, read, and write in English.
• Comprehend graphic and oral instructions in English.
• Complete an FBI fingerprint background check before starting.
• Provide proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization, before starting.
• Complete a post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50-pound lift test.
• Complete mandatory TUSD New-Hire Custodial Training.

Benefits

• The posted pay rates include increases funded through a community-approved override guaranteed through June 2031. District benefits are not available to positions working fewer than 30 hours per week.
