Custodian (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
About The Position
Perform various cleaning duties in assigned areas of district buildings or schools in accordance with county health department standards and standards established by the Custodial Services Department. This position is at Borman K-8 (DMAFB), effective for the 2026–2027 school year. It is a 1.0 FTE position, working 8 hours per day on a 12-month work calendar, on the PM shift. Before starting, the employee must complete an FBI fingerprint background check, provide proof of immunity to measles and rubella or proof of MMR immunization, pass a post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50-pound lift test, and complete mandatory TUSD New-Hire Custodial Training. Positions under 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. Requirements
- One year or more of custodial experience.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to comprehend graphic and oral instructions in English.
- Complete an FBI fingerprint background check before the start date.
- Provide proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization, before the start date.
- Pass a post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50-pound lift test.
- Complete mandatory TUSD New-Hire Custodial Training.
