About The Position

The Teacher Apprentice Mentor supports the growth and development of aspiring educators in a teacher apprenticeship program. The role is intended for experienced educators who are passionate about coaching, collaboration, and shaping the future of the teaching profession. The mentor serves as an instructional coach, supports apprentices' instructional practice, and collaborates with program staff to align mentoring with apprenticeship goals and standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor and instructional coach to teacher apprentices.
• Provide regular feedback through classroom observations and reflective conversations.
• Support apprentices in lesson planning, instructional delivery, and student engagement strategies.
• Model best practices in teaching, classroom management, and culturally responsive pedagogy.
• Collaborate with program staff to ensure alignment with apprenticeship goals and standards.
• Maintain documentation of apprentice progress and provide input on performance evaluations.
