About The Position

Mentors are responsible for mentoring Debt Counselors and/or Support Staff providing services on ConServe contracts and meeting or exceeding assigned goals. The role develops, trains, and evaluates staff performance and fulfillment of responsibilities. ConServe seeks experienced, professional, customer-focused, enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment. The Mentor maintains a regular portfolio of accounts, which may include route maintenance and skip-tracing, and leads by example by achieving and exceeding goals. The position provides individual and group training, encouragement, knowledge-sharing, constructive feedback, and timely guidance. Mentors apply company and contractual policies and procedures consistently, support a safe and productive work environment, and work with management on structures, strategies, and procedures to help exceed goals. The role also requires adherence to ConServe’s Blueprint Quality Management System, policies, Code of Conduct, and Compliance Program, as well as management-defined agendas and schedules. The position requires a high school diploma or GED. An associate or bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred. Candidates need at least six months of collections or equivalent experience, a proven performance record as a Debt Counselor and/or Mentor or equivalent experience, and experience helping coworkers or subordinates learn new programs and processes. They must be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance and state collections licensure, be legally eligible to work in the United States, and have no conflicts of interest with ConServe or its clients. The role may require sitting or remaining sedentary, talking and listening on a phone, and typing on a computer for an entire 8-, 9-, or 10-hour shift. It also occasionally requires lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made as required by applicable law. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least six months of collections experience or equivalent experience.
Proven performance record as a Debt Counselor and/or Mentor, or equivalent experience.
Experience assisting subordinates or coworkers in learning new programs and processes.
Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
Quick learner who is adaptable to change.
Ability to meet deadlines; dependable and self-managed.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of ConServe’s programs, procedures, and processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen, persuade, and negotiate.
Fluent conversational English and proficient English reading and writing skills.
Ability to work required hours based on departmental needs.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain State Collections Licensure.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
No conflicts of interest with ConServe or its clients.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Work a regular portfolio of accounts, which may include route maintenance and skip-tracing.

Create and adhere to agendas and schedules defined by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
