About The Position

Examination of instructional and assessment strategies, models of inquiry and critical thinking, and approaches to curriculum integration relevant to the junior division (grade 4 to grade 6); special focus on Science and Mathematics Ontario Curriculum and other pedagogical resources. In Teacher Education, Hybrid means that all courses include ten in-person sessions offered on campus at the University of Ottawa (30 in-person instructional hours) and two online course modules, delivered through Brightspace, which provide the equivalent of 6 instructional hours.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in education
  • Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario
  • Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level
  • Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers
  • The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those set out above.
