About The Position

The Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Economics at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Engineering Economics (ECO1192, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. This course covers the scope of engineering economics, mesoeconomics, supply and demand, production, break-even analysis, time value of money, equivalent annual-worth comparison, present worth comparisons, date and sensitivity analysis, industrial practices, analysis of public projects, and economic analysis recognizing risk. The course is scheduled for Thursdays from 19:00 to 22:00. The University of Ottawa is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a barrier-free work environment. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics.
  • Demonstrate recent professional experience as an economist in the area of the course in the public, para-public or private sectors.
