About The Position

The Tasker expedites transactions through the warehouse management system and provides information and resolves issues involving customers, carriers, and warehouse associates. The role may support outbound, inbound, or parcel functions. The listed position is Second (2nd) Tasker OS&D, working 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at $20.50 per hour.

Work activities include sitting at a computer approximately 50% of the time, operating material handling equipment such as an electric pallet jack and reach truck approximately 30% of the time, and walking through the warehouse to look for items approximately 20% of the time. The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Communication skills and dependability.
• Ability to perform work that may require lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of warehouse experience.
• Zero to one year of experience in data entry and/or dispatch.
• Basic understanding and application of Microsoft Excel.
• WMS knowledge.
• Forklift experience or knowledge.
• RF knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate, pick, manifest, and close daily waves of orders.
• Use system screens to monitor and move workload through the system.
• Work with operations to identify and eliminate overages, shorts, and damages that cause inventory issues.
• Manage inbound carrier scheduling and the outbound shipping schedule by updating appropriate communication methods.
• Generate and use system reports and audit sheets to evaluate shift progress.
• Communicate directly with carriers to support seamless physical and systematic transactions.
• Oversee the exchange of parcel shipments from the shipping dock to the carrier’s truck.
• Resolve data transmission failures and errors with customer IT and procurement teams.
• Interface with IT contacts when system-related barriers arise.
• Ensure complete communication during shift handoff.
