About The Position

The Tasker expedites transactions through the warehouse management system and provides information and resolves issues for customers, carriers, and warehouse associates. The role may support outbound, inbound, or parcel functions. The position also maintains daily inventory audits of supplies and corrugated materials by department, maintains appropriate stock levels, and replenishes or researches new and special warehouse items.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to make decisions based on instructions and pre-established guidelines.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Efficiency with Microsoft applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with associates and/or customers.
• Ability to work productively and positively in a dynamic team environment.
• Ability to set priorities and multitask when priorities conflict.
• Ability to work specified shifts and follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of warehouse experience.
• 0–1 years of experience in data entry and/or dispatch.
• Basic understanding and application of Microsoft Excel.
• Forklift experience; Reach Truck experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate, pick, manifest, and close daily waves of orders.
• Use system screens to monitor and move workload through the warehouse management system.
• Work with operations to identify and eliminate overages, shorts, and damages that cause inventory issues.
• Manage inbound carrier scheduling and the outbound shipping schedule by updating appropriate communication methods.
• Generate and use system reports and audit sheets to evaluate shift progress.
• Communicate directly with carriers to ensure seamless physical and systematic transactions.
• Oversee the exchange of parcel shipments from the shipping dock to the carrier’s truck.
• Resolve data transmission failures and errors with customer IT and procurement teams.
• Interface with IT contacts when system-related barriers arise.
• Ensure complete communication during shift handoff.
• Maintain daily inventory audits of departmental supplies and corrugated materials.
• Maintain appropriate inventory stock levels and replenish or research new and special warehouse items.
