About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Task Force Food & Beverage Manager to join their team at the Inn at Perry Cabin, a Forbes 4-star historical gem on the Eastern Shore. This role involves serving guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner, preparing specified areas for food and beverage service, and maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance. The position requires promoting strong communication between the dining room and kitchen, assisting other associates, and fostering a cooperative working climate. The Task Force Food & Beverage Manager will also be responsible for anticipating guest needs, practicing emergency procedures, and acting as an ambassador for the hotel and company. Support for Forbes Standards and adherence to the Inn at Perry Cabin philosophy are expected, along with maintaining confidentiality and security of guest information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant preferred.
  • Ability to communicate information regarding food and beverage to guests.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of guest and hotel.
  • Ability to focus attention to details.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule according to the needs of the position and the demands of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Serve guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Prepare specified areas for food and beverage service.
  • Maintain general knowledge of the menu, wine list, and all hotel facilities/services.
  • Provide the absolute highest quality of food, beverage, atmosphere, and service.
  • Quickly address, resolve, and report any complaints or negative situations.
  • Complete side work promptly and in accordance with standards.
  • Promote and maintain strong lines of communication and teamwork between the dining room and kitchen, and all other departments as they interact with Food and Beverage.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance in accordance with Dress Code Standards.
  • Assist other associates with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
  • Perform all job functions, special projects, and tasks as assigned.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features/services, outlets, hours of operation, etc.
  • Practice emergency procedures in compliance with hotel/company standards; react and assist in hotel emergency situations as needed.
  • Be an ambassador of the hotel and the company, in and out of the workplace.
  • Support Forbes Standards; strive to continuously improve.
  • Ensure by example that the Inn at Perry Cabin philosophy is known.
  • Observe standards for the department in image, appearance, and grooming; properly represent the company and the profession to outside organizations and the community.
  • Be knowledgeable of, implement, communicate, and comply with policies of Inn at Perry Cabin and its Hotel Human Resources Department.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and general hotel information.
