About The Position
The Tannery Maintenance role ensures that maintenance mechanic functions are performed safely and acceptably. The position performs preventive maintenance on equipment assigned by maintenance supervisors or the lead hand and assists other plant areas when major problems occur. It supports the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, including monitoring and documenting assigned areas as required by safety requirements, company policies, and procedures. This position requires a pulmonary function test (PFT). The Cactus operation is a hide-processing facility and distribution center in the Texas Panhandle, employing 180 team members and processing more than one million hides annually.

- A pulmonary function test (PFT) is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures on assigned equipment.
- Complete assigned scheduled and unscheduled work as directed by the supervisor.
- Assist other plant areas when major problems occur.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and its maintenance areas.
- Monitor and document assigned maintenance areas as required by safety requirements, company policies, and procedures.
