Maintenance Technician - Night Shift - $6,000 Bonus Pays
About The Position
The Maintenance Technician works as part of a team or with other Maintenance Associates and Team Managers to support maintenance functions as needed. The role involves assembling, installing, dismantling, maintaining, and repairing intake and processing equipment, distribution and supporting equipment, and other processing equipment. Work includes updating or replacing existing equipment and technology, preparing equipment for repair or replacement, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping equipment running efficiently. This is a night-shift position in Brownsville, scheduled on a 2-2-3 rotation from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The starting hourly rate is $35.21 and up, based on experience, skills, and interview evaluation. The position includes a $3.00-per-hour night shift premium from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and a $2.25-per-hour weekend shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is paid within the first 30 days of employment, and a $3,000 retention bonus is paid after successful completion of six months of service.
Requirements
- At least five years of related mechanical or electrical experience and/or training, or completion of a state-recognized apprenticeship program that includes four years of related experience.
- Ability to meet the physical demands and work conditions of the role, including lifting 20–50 pounds, climbing, and working in humid conditions and extreme cold and hot temperatures.
