About The Position

The Maintenance Technician works as part of a team with other Maintenance Associates and Team Managers, assisting with maintenance-area functions as needed. Duties include assembling, installing, dismantling, maintaining, and repairing intake and processing equipment, distribution and supporting equipment, and other processing equipment. The work helps update or replace equipment and technology, prepare equipment for repair or replacement, perform preventive maintenance, and keep equipment operating efficiently. This position is based in Brownsville and follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Starting pay is $35.21 per hour and up, depending on experience, skills, and interview evaluation. Additional premiums are $3.00 per hour for hours worked from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and $2.25 per hour for Saturdays and Sundays. The posting offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid within the first 30 days of employment and a $3,000 retention bonus upon successful completion of six months of service.

Requirements

At least five years of related mechanical or electrical experience and/or training, or completion of a state-recognized apprenticeship program that includes four years of related experience.
Ability to meet the stated physical demands and work conditions, including lifting 20–50 pounds and working in humid conditions and extreme cold and hot temperatures; climbing is also required.

Responsibilities
