Talent Management Intern - Summer Internship
About The Position
Flowserve is seeking a motivated and curious Talent Management Intern to join its Human Resources team. This internship provides hands-on experience in talent management within a global organization, with exposure to global Talent Management initiatives. The intern will work closely with Talent Management and HR partners to support talent management projects, learn Flowserve’s Talent Management philosophy and practices, and contribute to initiatives that support people and business priorities. The intern will learn how Talent Management practices support business priorities and employee experience; the fundamentals of Talent Management programs and practices in a global organization; how talent concepts are translated into practical guidance for leaders and HR partners; and how HR teams collaborate across centers of expertise, shared services, and business-facing roles. The internship also provides practical experience in project management, communication, analysis, and stakeholder engagement. At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will present project outcomes, learnings, and their overall internship experience to the HR Leadership Team. The opportunity is designed to provide practical experience and broad exposure to Talent Management and the wider HR function as a foundation for a future career in Talent Management.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field.
- Interest in Talent Management, employee development, and human capital strategy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and simplify complex information for different audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, discretion, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Learn Flowserve’s Talent Management philosophy, programs, and practices.
- Help translate talent concepts into clear, meaningful materials and communications for leaders and HR partners.
- Support key Talent Management programs and projects through research, analysis, materials development, process improvements, and other activities based on business priorities.
- Assist with global Talent Management initiatives.
- Collaborate within an established HR Shared Services model and gain exposure to regional and global HR partners.
- Present key project outcomes, learnings, and the overall internship experience to the HR Leadership Team at the conclusion of the internship.
