About The Position

The ideal Tailor/Fitter provides each customer with the best possible service through the quality of their craft. The role measures customers, fits garments, marks areas requiring alterations, and completes fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor meets department and individual productivity goals while following proper processes and procedures, and uses store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs. The role delivers customer expectations through teamwork and collaboration within the Alterations and Store teams, and educates customers and employees on proper fit, style, construction, and trends in a professional and friendly manner. The position offers an hourly pay range of $19.25 to $32.25, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; preferred minimum of 2–3 years.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience, preferably with a minimum of 2–3 years.
