About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customer service through high-quality tailoring and alterations. The role measures customers, assesses garment fit, marks alteration areas, completes fittings and sewing alterations on time, and follows Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also uses store technology to manage customer alteration requests, works collaboratively with the Alterations and Store teams, and provides customers and employees with professional, friendly guidance on fit, style, garment construction, and trends. The position requires flexibility in scheduling based on business needs and safe use of sewing, pressing, and standard alterations equipment.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; a minimum of 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
