About The Position

The Tag & Title Associate prepares legal transfer documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles and verifies and makes payoffs on vehicle trade-ins. This position is on-site and pays $25 per hour; the listed pay range is $18.48–$31.60 per hour. The position will be open until filled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous tag and title experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
• Strong customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in a dealership position (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare tag and title documents.
• Submit all legal transfer documents to the DMV.
• Issue stock numbers and stock in used vehicles purchased.
• Prepare checks to purchase used vehicles.
• Input inventory control information for used cars.
• Prepare and maintain trade-in vehicle jackets.
• Ensure name and address files are updated on an ongoing basis.
• Process all wholesale deals and monitor wholesale receivables.
• Verify payoffs on trade-ins.
• Complete end-of-month accounting reports.
• Assist with the completion of the annual review/audit.
• Keep current with applicable laws.
