About The Position

Vaden Automotive is seeking a detail-driven Tag & Title Clerk to manage vehicle tag, title, and registration processing while ensuring compliance with state and local regulations. This role supports dealership operations and helps provide customers with a seamless experience. The position works with sales, finance, and service teams and handles related payments, records, correspondence, and documentation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a Tag & Title Clerk or in a similar administrative role within the automotive industry.
Understanding of dealership operations, titling, registration, and state-specific vehicle regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for interactions with customers, state agencies, and internal teams.
Experience handling payments, balancing drawers, and maintaining financial accuracy.
Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) and office software such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and submit title and registration paperwork to state and local agencies within required timeframes.
Process and record title and tag fees, taxes, and related payments, and submit them to governing authorities on time.
Assist customers with questions about titling, registration, and related documentation.
Maintain organized and up-to-date files and documentation for dealership and state compliance.
Handle payment transactions, issue receipts or refunds, and balance cash drawers according to dealership financial policies.
Coordinate with sales, finance, and service teams to ensure paperwork is accurate and complete for vehicle deliveries and transfers.
Assist with DMV correspondence, title corrections, and inventory-related documentation as needed.
