About The Position

Ocean Downs Casino is hiring a full-time, year-round Table Games Dealer at its Berlin, Maryland location. The dealer helps create an entertaining and welcoming guest experience while conducting table transactions and maintaining the accuracy, security, and integrity of games and casino assets. The position pays $5.00 per hour and includes a compensation package with medical coverage, paid sick, vacation and personal time, holiday pay, and 401(k) options. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a license issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency. The schedule is flexible based on business needs and may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Strong math aptitude.
Strong manual dexterity when handling playing cards, chips, and dice.
Ability to comprehend, retain, and carry out written, verbal, and demonstrated directions, explanations, and guidance consistently.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the job's necessary functions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds repeatedly without difficulty.
Ability to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods without difficulty.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain a license issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency, required of gaming establishment employees.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a fun, entertaining environment through excellent service delivery.
Warmly and sincerely acknowledge and greet guests on and off the game.
Conduct table transactions and provide signatory validations in accordance with company and regulatory rules.
Ensure signatory paperwork and transactions are accurate and complete.
Protect the integrity of assigned games, currency, chips, playing cards, dice, and other assets.
Comply with State Lottery Regulations and company internal controls.
Know and promote company marketing and promotional events, and answer guest questions.
Promote outstanding customer relations.
Promote honesty and trust among the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
