Systems Engineering Manager
About The Position
Boeing Space Mission Systems (SMS) Experimental Systems Group (ESG) is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager (Level K) to join its team in Seal Beach, California. The multidisciplinary group rapidly develops and demonstrates next-generation, mission-focused technologies, products, and services for a variety of customers. Its work spans technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, architecture, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration. The manager will provide leadership and promote modern best practices across programs and product lines in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The role leads a multidisciplinary systems engineering team and manages infrastructure architecture, networks, computing equipment, and laboratories supporting high-availability systems. It also supports modernization and automation of existing processes and products, aligns work with the roadmap, contributes to proposal and bid baselines, supports technical and architecture trade studies, and manages resources, schedules, and staffing across concurrent programs. Candidates must complete an assessment during selection and satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process. This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship, and must meet U.S. export control requirements. Boeing will not sponsor employment visas. The position is not safety sensitive and is not contingent upon a program award. Relocation may be available based on eligibility. The listed shift is Shift 1 (United States of America).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or directly related non-U.S. equivalent qualifications.
- Active Top Secret U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. A clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.
- At least one year of leadership experience (such as team leader, temporary manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience), or completion of Boeing's internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- At least two years of experience on space programs.
- Experience with satellite operations.
- Must complete an assessment as part of the selection process.
- Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process.
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

- Manage resources, schedules, and staffing to execute concurrent programs.
