About The Position

The Systems Coordinator serves as the Reprocessing and Distribution Services department-specific systems analyst and liaison to IT for department software applications. The role analyzes, designs, develops, tests, maintains, implements, and integrates existing and new software, systems, and strategies. It communicates technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical groups within the Mayo system, maintains consistent policies and procedures, and may collect statistics. The coordinator is a resource for computer-related problems and issues, may train staff in operating and using software, and performs other duties as assigned.

Reprocessing and Distribution Services focuses on the decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. The team contributes to infection prevention and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare software packages, systems analysis and design, database design and utilization, project management, software development, software testing, web technologies, and systems documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a similar operational area, such as scheduling, medical records, desk system, and/or transcription.
