About The Position

WakeMed is hiring a Systems Analyst II for its Epic Clinical Applications – Ambulatory team. The role supports and optimizes Epic applications used for patient care and operational excellence across the organization. The analyst leads application build, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement efforts and serves as a liaison between Information Services, operational leaders, and vendor partners. The position applies technical expertise and knowledge of clinical workflows to identify solutions, improve system performance, and support end users across the health system.

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant experience in systems analysis, application support, or healthcare information technology.
• Experience analyzing workflows, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and work directly with customers to resolve problems.
• Associate degree in business, healthcare, technology, or a related discipline preferred.

• Epic certification in the area of responsibility.
• Professional certification or license relevant to the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of assigned Epic clinical applications.
• Analyze business and clinical requirements, translate needs into system solutions, and implement application enhancements and change requests.
• Partner with operational teams to evaluate workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend best-practice solutions.
• Provide Tier 2 application support by troubleshooting issues, resolving system concerns, and maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Collaborate with reporting teams, stakeholders, and vendors to support operational, regulatory, and performance reporting needs.
