About The Position

Universal Logistics is seeking a Yard Switcher (Yard Driver) to move trailers around the yard and support dock and warehouse operations. The role offers steady, full-time work and is based in person in Romulus, Michigan. The schedule lists second shift from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and third shift from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Training takes place on first shift for one to two weeks, depending on experience. Starting pay is $22.50 per hour, with a $0.75-per-hour premium for third shift. The position offers home-daily work, consistent year-round employment, and long-term career opportunities.

Requirements

• Ability to relocate to Romulus, MI 48174 before starting work; required.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock doors.
• Perform yard checks and maintain trailer organization.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and leadership teams.
• Ensure safe operation of yard equipment at all times.
• Follow all company and safety procedures.
