About The Position
The Switchboard Operator answers incoming switchboard calls promptly and directs them to the appropriate department. The operator takes messages and ensures they reach the appropriate contact, while communicating effectively and professionally with patients, external contacts, and staff members. The role is based in Little Rock, Arkansas, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is full-time.
Requirements
- General understanding of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of EPIC Electronic Medical Records software is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Answer switchboard calls as soon as possible and direct calls to the appropriate department.
- Take messages and ensure they are given to the appropriate contact.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, external contacts, and staff members.
