About The Position

The Switchboard Operator supports the hospital by operating the switchboard, answering, screening, and transferring incoming and outgoing calls. The role also monitors alarms and code situations and activates notification systems when directed. The operator uses digital pages as needed and accesses patient information while following scripting for all interactions. The position requires rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend rotation.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months of experience as an operator or in customer service.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls efficiently and use digital pages as needed.
• Access patient information and use scripting for all interactions.
• Monitor alarms and code situations and activate notification systems when directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
