About The Position
EP² provides complete power management systems for commercial and utility industries across power generation, transmission, and distribution. The Switchboard Electrician is located in Des Moines, Iowa, and reports to the Department Foreman. This role is an essential member of Electrical Power Products, Inc. production and assembly, completing the duties of a Journeyman in addition to the other responsibilities of the job.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and good organizational skills.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to assist and support others.
Responsibilities
- Read wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Operate all department tools and equipment.
- Perform all phases and types of panel wiring, including bunch, bundle, gutter, and form wiring.
- Install and wire instruments using a simple layout sketch, prints, wiring diagram, or schematic.
- Install various types of nameplates.
- Look for possible errors or discrepancies in work, including layout prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics, and bring them to the attention of the proper authority.
- Assist and support others.
