About The Position
The Goochland Family YMCA is seeking part-time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at its pool. Instructors will help with Learn to Swim programming during the day and work a variety of shifts with participants of different ages. Using a range of tools and teaching techniques, they teach small groups swimming skills, basic water safety, and YMCA core values. The pay range is $15–$17 per hour.
Requirements
- Current CPR certification.
- Current AED certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Enthusiastic and energetic demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certification. Certification is not necessary; the employer will provide certification if the applicant is not currently certified.
Responsibilities
