About The Position
Emler Swim and Gymnastic Schools is hiring a part-time swim instructor in Raleigh, North Carolina, to teach children ages 6 months to 12 years. Instructors teach water safety and swimming skills in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment, build positive relationships with students and parents, and help children celebrate their progress. The role includes paid, hands-on training with an experienced mentor and is active, involving time on your feet and in the pool. The position has set shifts that include evenings and weekends, with opportunities to pick up additional hours. The hourly pay range is $14.00–$17.50, depending on experience, skills, and certifications. Entry-level team members start at the bottom of the range, with opportunities for pay increases as they develop. The employer offers growth opportunities, including paths to mentoring or leadership roles.
Requirements
- Love working with children and bring positive energy.
- Be reliable, safety-minded, and professional, with strong communication skills.
- Be able to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule.
- Be comfortable in the water and active on your feet.
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching or swim experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Train with an experienced mentor to learn the company’s swim instruction methods.
