About The Position

The Schaumburg Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 80,000 residents with a wide variety of recreational facilities, pools, programs, events, parks and open spaces. The Water Works is an indoor water park that is open year-round. Features include water slides, diving pool, lap pool, water playground, whirlpool and more! Swim Instructors will provide swimming instruction to students of various ages and ability levels. The Swim Instructor is responsible for maintaining an enjoyable, safe and effective aquatic environment. Duties include: providing swim lessons and evaluating students’ progress, interacting with parents/guardians on the activities and development of the students’ swim skills, supervising of pool facility and patrons, rule enforcement, and customer service. Responsibilities also include performing of basic maintenance duties.
