About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer in Akron, Ohio. The officer monitors security systems and screens for suspicious activity, identifies potential threats before they escalate, and helps protect people and property. The role is available on either of two full-time schedules: Sunday through Thursday or Friday through Tuesday, from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. The hourly wage is $18.16. GardaWorld provides a uniform at no cost and offers career growth opportunities. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Successfully complete an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Hold a state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
