About The Position

The Surveillance Operator observes and protects casino assets through the closed-circuit television system. The role monitors casino activities and areas for criminal activity, regulatory or policy violations, and safety hazards; operates surveillance equipment; completes reports and documentation; and assists with training on CCTV equipment and alarms. The position is based in a large, fast-paced, 24-hour casino environment where smoking is allowed and alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises may be present.

Requirements

One to three years of experience in security and/or surveillance.
Knowledge of computers and CCTV equipment.
Ability to read and write in English.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other applicable regulatory entity, or by Live’s operating standards.
Ability to work in an environment exposed to alcohol and smoking.
Ability to sit for long periods and work in a confined space with low lighting.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
Excellent vision and hearing.
Ability to grasp, handle, and reach with hands and fingers.
Ability to stand and walk 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

Observe guests and team members on the casino floor, in the cage, change booths, and count rooms via CCTV for criminal activity and violations of state lottery and gaming commission regulations or company policies and procedures.
Observe casino, atrium, and parking areas for safety hazards to help ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
Operate monitor room equipment.
Complete reports and documentation as needed.
Assist with training in CCTV equipment and alarms.
Perform other duties as assigned.
