Surveillance Officer (Grave & Swing Shift)
About The Position
The Surveillance Officer performs surveillance duties according to established procedures to protect the integrity of company operations and the security and well-being of customers, employees, and company assets. The role observes casino and land-based activity through closed-circuit television monitors, records and reports activity, and works with Security to help protect people and company funds and assets. The position primarily works indoors in a temperature-controlled environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor climates. The casino operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; the role requires availability for scheduled work across a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Indiana Gaming regulations and the company’s internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to sit in a quiet environment for extended periods.
- Ability to visualize distance, color, and depth, and adjust focus.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, bend, twist, and climb stairs.
- Ability to work in an environment with secondhand smoke and loud noises.
- Availability for regularly scheduled work and a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Report illegal or unusual activities to the Supervisor.
- Operate assigned surveillance equipment, including network systems, monitors, computers, and cameras.
- Use spreadsheets, databases, and word-processing programs as required.
- Observe, report, and record daily casino and land-based activity using closed-circuit television monitors to identify illegal or unusual activity on the property.
- Work in partnership with the Security Department to help protect customers, employees, and company funds and assets.
- Prepare and complete daily activity and incident reports as required and directed by Surveillance Management.
- Perform duties and follow instructions as assigned by Surveillance Management.
- Safeguard confidential information and maintain department confidentiality.
- Follow the Company Service Standards model.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
