About The Position

The Surgical Technologist II is assigned to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician. The role is part of Cooper’s fast-paced, high-tech surgical environment, supporting a team that performs more than 70 surgeries each day across 30 operating rooms, including complex cases. Cooper’s surgical services are growing, offering opportunities for learning, growth, and career advancement.

The position requires a certified Surgical Technologist and annual completion of 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice in New Jersey. The listed schedule is 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m., with required weekend, holiday, and call rotations. A sign-on bonus is available to certified candidates, subject to the stated commitment and employment-status terms.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists.
• Hold a Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or another nationally recognized credentialing organization such as NCCT.
• Complete 15 hours of continuing education annually to remain qualified to practice as a Surgical Technologist in New Jersey.
• Certified status is required for eligibility for the sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assigned Surgical Suite service areas under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician.

• Participate in weekend, holiday, and call rotations.

Benefits
