About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Surgical Tech to work as part of a team delivering surgical care. Under general supervision and according to established procedures, the Surgical Tech anticipates the surgeon’s next move to help procedures run smoothly and efficiently. The full-time schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., with premium pay for weekend hours. The position is in Surgical Services at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana, in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Obtain the Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) within one year of hire; alternatively, 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist is required in lieu of certification.
- Obtain BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA, ARC, or AHSI within 30 days of hire.
