About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Surgical Tech for Surgical Services. Under general supervision and according to established procedures, the Surgical Tech works as part of the team delivering surgical care. The role aims to anticipate the surgeon’s next move so procedures can be performed as smoothly and efficiently as possible. This is a full-time weekend position working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., with premium pay for weekend hours. The position is based at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana, in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Obtain the Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) within one year of hire; alternatively, 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist is required in lieu of certification.
- Obtain BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA, ARC, or AHSI within 30 days of hire.
