About The Position

Join an established multi-specialty ophthalmology group as a patient-focused Surgical Coordinator. The role manages surgical bookings and schedules, supports patients throughout the surgical process, and works with surgeons and healthcare professionals to help provide a seamless patient experience. The coordinator also maintains accurate patient information and surgical records, supports clinic administration, and follows HIPAA requirements and patient confidentiality standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in surgical scheduling or coordination.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and surgical procedures.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks, and other assigned duties that contribute to efficient, high-quality medical practice operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with insurance verification processes.
Four-year degree.
