About The Position

This position provides supervision, oversight, and staffing for Shield Day Hab and Supported Employment Services, supporting developmentally disabled (DD) clients in the least intrusive manner. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as supervisory experience. The employee must be at least 21 years old and obtain or maintain required certifications and training. Employment is contingent on completing required post-offer screening, testing, and immunizations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities; a related degree may substitute for experience on a year-by-year basis.
• At least 21 years of age.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Have or obtain CPI, First Aid, and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire, meeting the specified training-resource requirements, and keep certifications current.
• Meet DDSD Policy Governing the Training Requirements for Direct Support Staff and Internal Service Coordinators: Introductory Level within 30 days, Orientation within 90 days, and Level 1 within one year.
• Successfully complete the required post-offer screening, including criminal records check and applicable testing and immunizations under PMS Human Resources Policy 205.006.
• Comply with required TB, Hepatitis B (consent or waiver), Tdap, MMR, and Varicella testing or immunizations, and influenza vaccination requirements according to CDC and NMDOH dates.
