About The Position
This position supports the implementation of lean supply management principles within the business unit laboratory network. It manages the movement and replenishment of materials and supplies to points of use in laboratories, performs cycle counts and daily replenishment routines, and works with laboratory staff and supply analysts to ensure materials are available. The role covers facilities in the assigned region, including laboratories, RRL, PSC, and IOP sites.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, or supply chain.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact well with all levels of staff.
- Efficient planning and organizing skills.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of inventory control systems is desired.
- Proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, and Visio is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Execute standard business processes for managing material flow across facility types in the assigned region, including Laboratories, RRL, PSC, and IOP.
- Participate in internal work teams focused on continuously improving supply replenishment processes, including reducing overall cost and cycle time.
- Conduct regular physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure on-hand inventory accuracy.
- Maintain visual management tools, such as Kanban, and mistake-proofing initiatives, such as labels with photos.
