About The Position

This position supports the implementation of lean supply management principles within the business unit laboratory network. It manages the movement and replenishment of materials and supplies to points of use in laboratories, performs cycle counts and daily replenishment routines, and works with laboratory staff and supply analysts to help ensure material availability. The role is based in Memphis, Tennessee, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay range starts at $17.20 per hour; offers depend on relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications where applicable, and market and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, or supply chain work.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact well with all levels of staff.
Efficient planning and organizing skills.
Good math skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of inventory control systems is desired.
Proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, and Visio is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Execute standard business processes for managing material flow across facility types in the assigned region, including Laboratories, RRL, PSC, and IOP.
Participate in internal work teams focused on continuously improving supply replenishment processes, including reducing overall cost and cycle time.
Conduct regular physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure on-hand inventory accuracy.
Maintain visual management tools, such as Kanban, and mistake-proofing initiatives, such as labels with photos.
Perform daily replenishment routines and work with laboratory staff and supply analysts to help assure material availability.
