About The Position

This position supports lean supply management within the BU Laboratory network by moving and replenishing materials and supplies at laboratory points of use. The role performs cycle counts and daily replenishment routines and interacts with laboratory staff and supply analysts to help ensure materials are available.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, or supply chain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact well with staff at all levels.
• Efficient planning and organizing skills.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of inventory control systems.
• Proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard business processes for managing material flow across assigned-region facility types, including laboratories and related facilities.
• Participate in internal work teams focused on continuously improving supply replenishment processes, reducing overall cost and cycle time.
• Conduct regular physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of on-hand inventories.
• Maintain visual management tools, such as Kanban, and mistake-proofing initiatives, including labels with photos.
