About The Position

The Supply Chain Shipping Clerk supports shipping operations by coordinating and monitoring trailer movement, assisting with dock and trailer utilization, completing and verifying shipping paperwork, and issuing trailer seals. The role helps ensure freight is loaded onto trailers, moving freight manually or with powered equipment and managing freight flow through identifying, counting, separating, combining, and scanning freight. The position uses warehouse management system terminals, scales, tapers, and scanners, and requires maintaining records, logs, and forms. The role also involves communicating verbally and in writing with individuals and groups, working collaboratively, supporting associates, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and pursuing continuous improvement. The stated schedule is Friday through Sunday, 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM; other schedule details may be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

At least 6 months of Walmart Supply Chain clerical-related experience, such as filing or data entry, using computer applications such as email, spreadsheets, or word processing; or at least 1 year of clerical-related experience using computer applications.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor trailer movement, including movement in the yard and dedicated carriers.
Assist leaders and managers with effective dock and trailer utilization.
Complete paperwork for shipment pickup and delivery; verify shipping paperwork and issue trailer seals.
Ensure freight is loaded onto trailers by moving freight manually or with powered equipment.
Manage freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with extendables; identify, count, separate, combine, and scan freight.
Use warehouse management system terminals, scales, tapers, and scanners, and maintain records, logs, and forms.
Communicate verbally and in writing with individuals and groups.
Work as part of a team, build trusting relationships, and help develop and mentor others.
Maintain integrity, ethics, and compliance, and act with honesty, fairness, and transparency.
