About The Position

This vacancy is for a GS-0343-14, Supervisory Management & Program Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OFFICE OF RESOURCES / ORG ANALYSIS and WORKFORCE MGMT, Commandant (CG-81) in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia. In this role, you will serve as Division Chief for the RESOURCES and PROGRAM SUPPORT DIVISION, Commandant (CG-819). Duties You will serve as a Supervisory Management & Program Analyst and be responsible for setting and adjusting short and long term priorities. Supervising personnel, distribute workload assignments, coordinate division training, Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Assess program effectiveness for the improvement of complex programs. Serve as the expert on long range planning. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of ongoing functions Manage productivity in all areas, monitor problem areas, and implement solutions. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Under provisions of the Civil Service Reform Act, first time supervisors and/or managers will be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

  • Specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector.
  • Experience supervising/managing personnel.
  • Experience providing advice and guidance to senior program and policy officials in solving complex problems and issues.
  • Experience in making decisions on routine and non-routine work problems and issues.
