About The Position

The Transfer Center Supervisor is a member of the leadership team and supervises the staff and operations of the Transfer Center. The role requires knowledge of patient flow operations, EMTALA regulations, and transfer center processes, along with exceptional customer service skills. Work hours are 9 AM–5 PM.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years of experience in a clinical area, including at least one year in Emergency Services and/or Critical Care.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia, or a Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or multistate license.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
• Knowledge of patient flow operations, EMTALA regulations, and transfer center processes.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Additional life support credential such as PALS, or other clinical specialty certifications in Trauma or Emergency Patient Transportation (TNCC, etc.).
• Specialty certification such as CEN or TCRN.
