About The Position

The Ground Operations Supervisor is a hands-on warehouse leader who works day to day with Warehouse Associates and Leads. The supervisor develops staff through coaching and training, sets a standard of operational excellence, and leads the team using Veho’s values. The role is accountable for accurate reporting and scheduling, cross-functional communication, and efficient, safe processing of sort and launch packages. The role operates in a fast-paced, changing warehouse environment and requires the supervisor to work onsite during scheduled shifts. Warehouse operating hours vary according to business needs; the anticipated schedule is overnight, and schedules may change. Leadership is expected to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, as operational needs require. Minimal travel is required.

Requirements

At least 1 year of management experience in logistics, operations, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency with technology platforms and tools relevant to logistics operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and changing environment.
Commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to team members and driver partners.
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, as operational needs require.
Ability to stand for the duration of a shift; move boxes up and down with frequent bending; and regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures and in an environment with loud noise and fumes.

Responsibilities

Coach, train, and develop warehouse team members and prepare them for future success.
Plan and prioritize team and business initiatives, manage operational and logistical challenges using technology platforms, and drive continuous improvement with identified milestones.
Assess operational needs and coordinate cross-functionally to maintain seamless, safe operations.
Support on-time delivery and exceed expectations for customers, clients, crowdsourced drivers, and employees.
Schedule shifts in alignment with operating hours, business needs, and projected volume.
Lead the team using values-based leadership to achieve operational KPIs and metrics.
Partner across functions to support the operation and organization.
Ensure accurate reports and cross-functional communication, and ensure sort and launch packages are processed efficiently and safely.
