About The Position

GEODIS is a global third-party logistics provider. The Supervisor - Customs Brokerage oversees customs brokerage operations, develops plans based on customer specifications, supports client relationships, and helps ensure customs compliance. The role supervises and develops team members, resolves operational and accounting issues, and reviews processes and performance.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
PC literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems involving concrete variables where limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.

Responsibilities

Develop plans based on customer specifications.
Provide rate quotes to clients.
Review processes and implement new procedures.
Assist teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues.
Maintain positive customer relationships.
Prepare and monitor Customs compliance and broker management reports.
Train, coach, and supervise team members.
Manage Post Entry reviews and perform audits.
Resolve problems using knowledge of proper processes and industry standards.
Monitor AP/AR discrepancies and address accounting issues.
Address disciplinary and performance issues and complaints as needed.
