About The Position

The Customs Brokerage Agent prepares timely and accurate entry declarations and supports the timely release and processing of customs entries. The role monitors files requiring Partner Government Agency (PGA) review, ensures agency releases, scans and indexes documents, handles required entry documentation, and supports accurate and timely client billing. The agent also turns files over to dispatch when required and communicates clearly and promptly with internal and external customers. The position calls for ownership, attention to detail, prioritization, multitasking, and a positive, team-oriented approach, including identifying process improvements to share with leadership.

Responsibilities

Prepare timely, accurate entry declarations.
Meet or exceed daily key performance indicators.
Bring ideas to leadership to improve processes.
Open files as required.
Monitor timely entry release.
Monitor PGA files, including FDA files, and ensure release by all agencies.
Scan and index documents into the imaging system.
Properly handle “Entry Documents Required Entries.”
Ensure accurate and timely billing, including sending billing to clients as required.
Turn files over to dispatch as required and on time.
Communicate clearly, accurately, and promptly with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.
