About The Position

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a Supervisor - Accounts Payable to lead end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, approvals, payments, accruals, and prepaids. This role involves supervising and developing a team of seventeen, assisting staff with questions and issues, and owning the annual 1099 reporting process. The ideal candidate will ensure all supplier inquiries are handled professionally and drive process improvements and automation initiatives to scale AP workflows, reduce manual effort, and strengthen internal controls. This position requires working closely with cross-functional teams in support of the procure-to-pay process and operating with a high degree of independence.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or other related field Required
  • Two (2) years of accounts payable experience may be considered in lieu of the degree in addition to the experience below
  • 3 years experience in Accounts Payable Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or another related field Preferred
  • Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end Accounts Payable operations including invoice processing, approvals, payments, accruals, and prepaids by monitoring invoice volumes, reviewing applicable reports and dashboards
  • Supervise and develop a team of seventeen by assigning tasks, monitoring performance and providing coaching and feedback
  • Assist staff with questions and issues, providing guidance on appropriate methods to research and resolve problems.
  • Own the annual 1099 reporting process
  • Ensure all supplier inquiries are responded to in a timely, professional, and courteous manner by the team
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to scale AP workflows, reduce manual effort and strengthen internal controls
  • Work closely with cross functional teams in support of the procure to pay process
  • Operate with a high degree of independence
