About The Position

Marsh is hiring Summer Interns for its 10-week Early Career Program in the Brokerage Practice within its Risk business. The internship is based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle, starts in June 2027, and follows a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days per week in the office. Interns will work with senior advisors and brokers to help clients identify and manage risks to their people, property, and financial or strategic goals. They will gain practical exposure to risk management and insurance broking, including client risk assessment, relationship-building with insurance companies, and securing competitive insurance quotes. Interns will join one of several practice areas: Casualty, Cyber, FINPRO, Marine, Cargo, and Logistics, or Property. Office availability varies by practice, and candidates will be aligned during application review. The program includes a cohort community, a dedicated program team, learning and development opportunities, mentorship, exposure to senior leaders, networking, and a summer capstone presentation to the intern’s team and senior leadership. Exceptional juniors may be offered a place in Marsh’s full-time program after completing the internship. The hourly rate is $25 in Los Angeles and Seattle and $27 in San Francisco. The rate is standardized and not negotiable. Applicants should select their top two practice areas, indicate a preferred office location aligned with their practice choice, and submit a resume and cover letter, each no more than two pages and in PDF format. The cover letter should address interest in insurance broking, the preferred office and practice area, and an example of working effectively with someone with a different approach.
