About The Position

The Summer Financial Analyst will work alongside full-time professionals on live Private Capital Markets transactions across a variety of transaction types, including acquisition financing for leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations, refinancings, growth capital, and distressed and special situations. Private Capital Markets transaction processes involve activities similar to M&A, including creating marketing materials such as a CIM and three-statement financial model, leading counterparty diligence, coordinating management meetings, and structuring and negotiating financing through closing. The internship provides experience in cash flow and three-statement modeling, organizing and running investor outreach processes, and understanding capital structure and the private credit and private equity capital markets. Houlihan Lokey’s U.S. Private Capital Markets & Advisory team provides capital-raising services across industries and capital needs. The team works with private equity-backed companies, public companies, and family- and management-owned businesses, drawing on relationships with private market asset managers and other investors to develop tailored financing solutions.
