2028 Summer Analyst - New York Restructuring & Liability Management
About The Position
Lazard is hiring a Summer Analyst for its New York Restructuring & Liability Management team. The nine-week internship provides hands-on experience with live deal and pitch work, building a foundation in restructuring and capital structure analysis. Assignments may involve in-court and out-of-court restructurings, liability management, and broader market analysis. Day-to-day work includes financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, contributing to client presentations, and interacting with senior bankers and clients. The program includes a week-long training program in New York, formal mentorship, restructuring and general training, exposure to the Leadership Team, team events, and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the group.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a US university and pursuing a Bachelor's degree, with an expected graduation date in December 2028 or May/June 2029.
- Top academic performance.
- Motivation, creativity, maturity, and poise.
- Strong quantitative background and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
