About The Position

Lazard is seeking a 2027 Summer Associate for its Chicago Restructuring & Liability Management team. Day-to-day activities depend on the candidate’s prior experience and abilities and may include financial analysis and modeling, preparing client presentations and marketing materials, and interacting with clients. The opportunity is located in Chicago, and an interest in working there is necessary. The internship begins with a week-long comprehensive training program in New York. Throughout the program, associates receive formal mentorship, exposure to the Leadership Team, and opportunities to attend social and networking events with bankers across the firm.

Requirements

• Have 2–3 years of prior work experience.
• Be currently matriculated in an MBA or JD program and within two years of graduation.
• Demonstrate top academic performance.
• Show motivation, creativity, maturity, and poise.
• Have a strong quantitative background.
• Have strong analytical skills.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Be able to multitask.
• Have an interest in working in Chicago.
